NIMROD Webcomic is a continuous self-contained superhero universe (we call them Warriors) with a definite beginning and ending with a rebirth. A bit like the Norse gods - a creation, lots of adventures then Ragnarok and a new era of gods.

The adventures come from the mind of Chris Smillie and have been running round in his head for about 30 years! Inspired by primarily Marvel's Silver and Bronze Age tales but with a big difference. The stories here aren't necessarily presented sequentially. Imagine Marvel released The Coming Of Galactus, The Death of Bucky and the Avengers/ Defenders War before the origin of the Fantastic Four or the first appearance of the Hulk. Straight into the action!

War Dogs: updating the adventures of the Golden Age World War 2 heroes as Silverstreak and Stunt-Kid return to the present day!

Vanquishers: the adventures of the Earth's premier team of super-heroes, starring the likes of Thunderstorm, Fiery Meteor, Oracle, Blue-Bottle, Victor, Sea-Hawk and the modern day Apparition.

Power Titans: Hunted by the authorities, hated by the corrupt. The team of super-powered scientists attempt to expose the sinister underworkings of the secret scientific organizations that could bring about the end of the world. Starring Logician, Flare, Dynamo and more!

Challengers: The World Nations Organisation's defence against major threats to the Earth. Starring the dimension-warping Defender, mind-powered Psi-clone, Mr Mid-Nite the Negative Man, the alien Interceptor and the sword wielding wildcard, Battling Whirlwind (to begin with...)

Stelar: The modern day techno-warriors from the genius of Jeremy Grimes. Featuring Rampage [cybernetically-enhanced strongman], Pursuer [solar-powered speedster], Ghost [the wireless wisp], Titan [with the ability to shrink and grow], Sonic Boom [Master of the Soundwave], Tornado [alien cosmic policeman] and Dreadought [the Living Arsenal]

Sentinels: In times of great need, the most powerful warriors in the Galaxy come together to battle the ultimate nemesis. Thunderstorm (bearer of the cosmic lightning), the Protector (phantom powered cyclops blaster) and the Deterrent (possessor of the impenetrable force-field).

Overmen: Mysterious warriors of enormous power but dubious credentials begs the question, whose side are they on? Led by Darkspell with the merman Aqua, the lithe Green Avenger, the colossally strong Apollo, the alternate Earth warrior, Thunderflash and the claws of the Leopard Man!
