<Splash><Dynamo and Battling Whirlwind duking it out toe-to-toe>  It had to happen!  The rebels versus the authorities! The hunted versus the hunters! The Power Titans versus the Challengers! ...And Only One Shall Leave!

<On board the PTs satellite ship - a cross between the Tardis and the Tomorrow People - Dynamo is looking at a computer/ radar style screen>  I think you should see this Zoltan.
<L> It's a message from WAR* [*World Allied Research] but it's so badly encrypted - the security codes must have failed.
<Dy> A trap?
<L> Maybe so but we must take advantage nevertheless.
<F> What's the message?
<L's head and shoulders flanked by Dy and F looking concerned>
<L> It says they have found a way to duplicate our powers
<Close up of L's eyes> This could mean the total enslavement of the Earth!

[Meanwhile]
<Dr Dante> I'm grateful to the World Nations Organisation for sending you boys.
<Def> Not at all Dr Dante.  The Challengers understands the threats to your work from these terrorists.  The aim of our organisation is to allow Mankind to explore his scientific heritage for the good of all peoples.
<Dr D> Hhrumph!  Well...yes. We all want what's best for the masses.  These 'Power Titans' have intercepted our broadcasts before, so we've set a trap...

<PTs are standing in a transport chamber> [Utilising the latent energy of the WAR Central Laboratory, the Power Titans are able to transport within the base's upper confines]
<L>I've alerted Iceberg to meet us there.  We need to be at full strength.  Maybe this is the battle predicted by Jewel?

<Dr D> Power fluctuation in Lab G12.  That must be them!
[If we possessed the power to look into the hearts of men, what would we find in these Challengers?  erhaps the pride of a warrior king in the Defender, or the doubts of Psi-clone as his ESP questions the sincerity of Dr Dante.  Unquestionably, war lust in the Battling Whirlwind but maybe a sense of relief for Gem-Boy as his terror of his past and assured future is submenrged by battle.  But Interceptor? Mayhap, this curious alien has no heart!]

<PTs appear in a deserted lab>
<L> The chamber must be directly below.
<Dy> Then I'll make us a shortcut.
<Dy raises his fist to strike the floor>
<Def> Not so fast brute!
<BW> For this be your doomsday!
<Splash> <As the light switches on, the two teams confront each other>
<Def> Psi-clone NOW!
<Multi-colured mind-bubbles - looks like X-Men's Havok power - emanate from Psi's head>
<PTs stand still as the mind-waves sweep over them>
<Dy> Awww, your little mind tricks not work?
<Psi> Some sort of mental defence* [*Yup, a power gained from the Logician], I need to retreat.

<BW> Aye, but no retreat for the Battling Whirlwind!
<BW leaps, sword outstretched, towards Dy>
<The sword swings, cutting through Dy's skin>
<Dy> Aaargh! {He cut me! Where even bullets couldn't penetrate}
<BW swings again cutting into Dy's shoulder.  Dy pushes BW off>
<BW> A powerful demon methinks! But one so fresh to slay.  The glory of battle!
<BW leaps once again at Dy but Dy punches a hole in the floor so that BW falls below>
<Dy> That'll take him a little time to find his way back in a maze like this.

<GB> Yeah, well Gem-Boy ain't so easily dismissed.
<I places a hand on GBs chest> Hold!  The One must not be so easily risked.
<GB> Huh!? But I can take them Interceptor!
<F> Ha! Listen to your wet mother sonny...and chew on this!
<F unleashes a flare-bolt towards GB.  Interceptor intercepts(!) managing to draw open his force field and shooting an energy blast straight back at F>
<With a Hnnnhh! F drops to the floor unconscious>

<Dy> Rory! If you've killed the boy...!
<Dy leaps towards I.  I blasts at Dy, knocking him to the floor>
<I> You may finish your sentence Dynamo
<Dy> Then this!
<On the floor, Dy grabs I pulling him down and delivering a knockout blow>
<Dy turns towards Def>

<Dy> You're the leader.  You got this coming...
<GB> Don't turn you back on me!
<GB punches Dy across the floor then flies towards him for a toe-to-toe>
<Def> So, just you and me Logician?
<Log> Yes, Defender, leader versus leader.
<Def opens dimensional rifts with his hands and throws explosive energies towards Log.  All of them are countered by Log's force shield>
<Log> I can absorb all your power.  But can you mine?
<Log blasts back at Def, knocking him out.  Log stumbles to the ground in agony>
<Log> No! Not now, not now.  Need...to...fight...on...unh...
<Log crumbles to the floor>

<GB is battling and winning against Dy>
<GB> Stay back he says.  I've more power than all of you put together.
<BW> And now that power be multiplied!
<GB looks around> Battling Whirlwind!
<Dy takes advantage of his surprise by punching him clear across the room>
<GB> Cheap shot!  Well let's see how you stand against a Gem-Boy on full strength.* [*Gem-Boy draws his power from the gemstones on his wrists and belt but must allocate the amount of power for each of his warrior abilities]
<BW> And though the odds be unfair enough - two born warriors against one!
<IB> How about two against two
<IB appears from the door behind BW and GB>
<An icy blast knocks down both GB and BW due to it's unexpectedness>
[Though Gem-Boy may become impervious to all but the most extreme of conditions, his rashness in diverting power from his invulnerability to his strength means there is no escape from the cold blast of Iceberg!]

<IB helps up Dy and brings him alongside Lof and F. Log is conscious but weak>
<IB> That won't stop them for long.  You gotta get us outta here Loggy.  My sources tell me it's a trap.  There's no Meta Warrior Device.

<PTs on board the satellite having their wounds dressed>
<Log> Tonight gentlemen, we entered a new phase in our battle.
With the metapowers after us, and my abilities failing me, our ending may be at hand!
