STARSCAPE SAYS...

Calling all Starkids!

Welcome to Starscape Comic Magazine!

First a quick reminder that Starscape Presents: Dead one-shot and Collected Hook Jaw vol.1 from Spitfire Comics (the publishing arm of StarscapeOnline.com) should be in your local UK comic shop.  If not, then you can ask them to order it in.  Alternatively, they can be bought from various sources (e.g. Amazon, IndyPlanet, Lulu) by clicking on the 'COMICBOOKS' button.

"Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can..."  Thanks to the kind folks at Clear Vision, I recently received a copy of the 1967 Spidey cartoons.  It struck me just how influential these were cartoons were.  Everyone knows the song, despite many not having seen the actual show for years.  Come to think of it, aside from Channel 4 a couple of years ago, I struggle to remember when it was last screened.  And yet, it's as recognisable as part of the Sixties as much as Warhol's Marilyn.

And then there's the big news - Disney buys Marvel!  Given the quality of their animation in their Pixar stable, I, for one, am really looking forward to the results.  Oh, and don't be too concerned about Mickey Mouse-Man or Donald Danger-Duck being part of the Marvel Universe.  Rumour has it, Disney will have a distinctly hands off approach.

Way behind on RSS.  Apologies for that.  Still looking for reviewers, artists and writer/artist submissions!  Email me at editor@StarscapeComic.co.uk

Keep looking to the stars!
